It was in Ethiopia that coffee was originally discovered. Still, after more than 1000 years, the coffee is harvested and handled according to ancient methods.
The coffee is what Ethiopians call 'Garden Coffee', coffee grown on family backyards.
In Harrar all coffee berries, including the most mature and best, is placed in the sun with fruit husk still on.
The result is a wild, fruity, complex coffee with an aroma reminiscent of blueberries.
